Experience	November 2001-February 2002 Internetwork Consulting Services Herndon, VA Contractor - Network Design Engineer § Subcontractor for ICS to help with staff augmentation for configuration, test and turn-up of a Gigabit Ethernet based WAN network for a leading cable broadband provider. § Assisted in network equipment configuration, verification and testing. § Assisted with network transition to newly built network for leading cable broadband provider. § Completed required updates to “living” document baseline for customer per their request and requirements. § Assisted in network user inventory for DHCP scope variables on the network.
	February 2001 – August 2001 Winstar Wireless Herndon, VA Senior Network Design Engineer § Wrote Network Planning Letters (NPLs) to document proposed and planned changes to the network including addition and removal of hardware.  This included rack layout and cable running lists. § Evaluate software for IP allocation, and DNS administration. § Currently supervise over IP allocation requests and needs. § Contributed to the design of a robust and highly available DNS for authoritive serving and resolution systems to integrate existing legacy systems onto. § Answered peering@winstar.net e-mails and contacted other companies to work out peering agreements either on public exchanges or alternative interconnections. § Researched various possible alternative scenarios for non-core pops and ATM to Packet Over Sonet (POS) migration for IP backbone. § Assisted with site install of IP equipment to expedite needed deployments.
	September 2000 – February 2001 Rivien Broadband Services, Inc.           Silver Spring, MD Network Design Engineer § Assisted in finalized design and field installation of Rivien network, including access, aggregation and core networks. § Assisted in testing VoIP and VoATM solutions deployed on the network. § Responsible for completing Out Of Band (OOB) network configuration in access and aggregation networks. § Completed standard router configurations for all layers of the network. § Responsible for test lab hardware configuration and design for current and future hardware interoperations testing. § Responsible for operations documentation for deployed designs and solutions.
	February 1997–September 2000 Intermedia Communications, Inc. Beltsville, MD Senior Staff Engineer – Network Control Center § Senior engineer supporting the Intermedia network backbone and the Network Control Center Staff. § Duties included trafficking engineering through MPLS TE tunnels and the ISIS IGP mesh, network monitoring and maintenance. § Responsible for department administrative and technical escalations from the NCC staff and supported departments. § Assisted in hiring and training of new employees. § Reorganized and reinstated the companies Cisco IOS pre-deployment testing and deployment procedures.
